The Marine Corps May Stop Using Words Like “Sir” And “Ma’am,” Because It’s Offensive

I can’t deal with the stupidity any more. Apparently, training staff in the Army, Navy, and Coast Guard no longer use “gender identifiers” like “sir” and “ma’am.” The Marine Corps recently received a report from the University of Pittsburgh requesting they do the same. They are now in the process of deciding on if this is something they also want to adopt. I’m so glad our military is focused on the important things in life. Let’s not worry about building up the strength of our military, let’s focus on not hurting the feels of those that decide they identify as a dog today.

Instead of using words like “sir” and “ma’am” when addressing superiors, they are now told to address them by their last name, or their rank. Supposedly, “gendered identifiers prime recruits to think about or visually search for a drill instructor’s gender first, before their rank or role.” This is real life. This is what our military is worried about. According to the American Military News, a top training leader in the Marine Corps is pushing back on this. At least someone isn’t giving in to the insanity.

Meanwhile, we have Russia and China both just waiting to take over the world. Our military coming out and saying that this is what they’re focused on just seems to be a wide open invitation for literally any other country to come on over and invade us. Who’s gonna stop them?

According to Colonel Howard Hall, the chief of staff for Marine Corps Training and Education, it is unclear whether or not the Marine Corps will take the advice of this report. He stated that it was still under consideration as of their December meeting of the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Service. However, if they do make the switch, it will not be something that happens overnight.

I don’t know, I just feel like there are way more important things our military should be focusing on. But that’s just me.
