Indiana Attorney General Sues TikTok

I know I shouldn’t love it, but I do. It melts your brain. It wastes your time. And it’s probably spying on me as we speak— but man, it’s fun.

TikTok is the crack cocaine of social media, and Indiana attorney general Todd Rokita is ready to rid the streets of the drug. He’s kinda like Batman, but with subpoenas…and a tie.  

“Indiana’s attorney general on Wednesday sued Chinese-owned social media app TikTok, claiming the video-sharing platform misleads its users, particularly children, about the level of inappropriate content and security of consumer information,” Fox News reported. “A separate complaint from Rokita argues the app has users’ sensitive and personal information but deceives consumers into believing that information is secure.”

A few things:

1. He’s totally right.
2. I’ll probably still use the app.
3. Don’t @ me. I know it’s a dumb.  

Rokita isn’t the only government official who is taking a stand against the app. Governor Kristi Noem also banned “… state employees and contractors on Nov. 29 from accessing TikTok on state-owned devices” because it has ties to CHY-NA.

If you haven’t downloaded the app yet, don’t do it—your brain cells will thank you. #DoAsISayNotAsIDo

But as for the rest of us, it’s too late and we might as well enjoy ourselves. So, in closing, here’s a funny TikTok that has absolutely nothing to do with this article.
