I cannot believe he thought this was a good idea. WHAT THE EFF.
There are not enough cringes to describe how cringey this is. I mean, I get the ad reference, but WHY.

Y THO. https://t.co/02XuxvIlSX
The Coke ad music is playing in the background, y’all. What are we to take from that – that Coke endorses Fetterman? Or that he simply got authorization to use that song in his ad and completely copy the original ad idea? Or that he did this without permission? No idea. All I know is that it makes me incredibly uncomfortable because it’s so awfully horribly terribly bad.
BIG YIKES.

I think this ad was home made. No PR/Ad agency with a reputation it wants to uphold would produce something as bad and tasteless as this.
If they did not get coke’s permission, or the add is NOT satire, they are guilty of copyright infringement. I suppose it is okay since he is a democrat and can do what ever he wishes without consequences.
The commercial makes complete sense if you’re a Pittsburgher, which I am. It’s a take on a famous Coke commercial featuring former Steeler great “Mean” Joe Greene. Also, “jagoff” is every Pittsburgher’s favorite insult.
I’m not voting for Fetterman, but this spot makes perfect sense.
