Gov. DeSantis Does It Again!
Y’all remember all of the horrible stories we heard during Covid about people being separated from their loved ones – in nursing homes, in hospitals, etc. People were forced BY THE GOVERNMENT to die alone in far too many cases. It was horrific.
My own son, who has severe cerebral palsy, went to the hospital with a fever in April of 2020. At that point, the world was already crazy with restrictions and I was only allowed to be with him in the ER. Once they admitted him, even without knowing whether or not he was Covid-positive, their rule was that because of Covid he couldn’t have family with him. This was absolutely outrageous to me, given that he requires the assistance of another human for literally every last thing, and he is unable to speak and unable to move on his own to even hit a nurse call button. Everything about his stay in the hospital still haunts me when I think about it. It was so egregiously horribly wrong for me not to be allowed to stay with him.
Gov DeSantis understands things like this, and he believes in the rights of patients to have their loved ones present. Behold.
This man is a LITERAL GEM, and how everyone in the country doesn’t see it is absolutely beyond me.

Stupid doctors trying to stop the spread of disease. What do they know?
It’s interesting when you think about it. One of the reasons given for gay marriage was family visitation. Previously, a gay man could not visit his boyfriend/husband if they were admitted for whatever reason. Now that is no longer an issue… until covid.
You heard it here first ladies and gents. Covid is homophobic. And the LGBT community is apparently okay with that. I haven’t see pearl clutching from the liberal talking heads about this.
