OMG YOU GUYS LOOK AT THIS VICE HEADLINE.

There’s a whole column that goes with it, and because I apparently love self-harm, I read the whole thing. It’s all about photographer Evan James Benally Atwood, who is a “queer, Indigenous artist.”
I’ll let you take a moment to peruse the self-portraits of Evan at the sourcelink. Warning: His assular area is hairy and he wants you to know it.
The Vice column is essentially a gushing puff piece on Evan, whose work is described as the undoing of “certain effects of colonialism – the desecration of stolen land, the imposition of a gender binary.” Evan’s photography, the article says, is a form of “visual sovereignty.”
Is that what you think when you look at his work? Because what I think is that Evan reeeeeeally wants us all to see his ass.
Vice interviewed Evan at some length, and I’m including some of my favorite Evanisms here.
“I would like to recognize the privilege my masculine presentation gave (and still gives me) and how my positionality has impacted my growth/success. Being keenly aware of how society is innately programmed to uplift individuals like myself who move through the world presenting masculine, I have made it integral to uplift counter-narratives of dominant culture… yet it was not until after university that I felt compelled to research the intersection of my queerness and Indigeneity.”
The reason that Evan has “masculine presentation” is because Evan is male. He’s a man. Anyone with functioning eyeballs recognizes this, even without a biology degree. Saying that on Twitter would get me kicked off the platform, probably, but I’m still one of the crazy people out here who aren’t participating in the collective delusion that so many woke folks have been swept up in.
Evan is more than welcome to live his life as he sees fit, and I wish him all the success in the world in his research of the intersection of his queerness and indigeneity. I mean it. Knock yourself out, dude. Good luck with all of that.
Here’s my next favorite quote of Evan’s:
“Using cowgirl/cowboy/cowthem culture as a means to visualize and contradict harmful stereotypes of Natives is emboldening. I see these self-portraits as a form of visual sovereignty… as a way to contradict the ways in which our society perpetuates harmful binary gender norms.”
“COWTHEM CULTURE,” he said. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
I’m self-aware enough to recognize that in Evan’s view, I am a walking example of the harmful binary gender norms he’s so hairybutthurt about. Recognizing binary genders isn’t acceptable in Wokeworld. I’m not sure though, how self-portraits of Evan’s hairy ass “contradict the ways in which society perpetuates harmful binary gender norms.” We all KNOW that people who refuse to recognize male/female binaries exist. We’re well aware, because they’re the loudest of the squeaky wheels. They DEMAND to be known, seen, accepted, approved of, respected, and loved. But how have binary gender norms been HARMFUL? If anything, they’ve been the glue that has held the healthiest foundation of culture together – the traditional family. It’s no secret that kids who grow up in traditional mother-father families are healthier on multiple levels. The more culture moves AWAY from that, the worse off we collectively become.
Now before people come @me, OF COURSE there are exceptions. I’m speaking in generalities here. None of what I’m saying about traditional families should be controversial.
But cowthems like Evan (HA HA HA HA HA HA OMG I laughed out loud even TYPING that), have a mission to contradict the harm of the gender binary, y’all. So behold their hairy assular areas already, you bigots.
