Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller was one of the few who had the guts to speak up about the epic failure of leadership in the highest positions in the United States Military after the disastrous Afghanistan situation. In a viral video, he called out idiots like Marine Commandant Gen. David H. Berger, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark A. Milley, all of whom should be held accountable for the incompetence and incredibly poor leadership that has led to the death of hundreds, including more than a dozen U.S. service members, and losing billions of dollars worth of military equipment to the Taliban terrorists.
Predictably, Lt. Col. Scheller has now been fired. He said in a personal Facebook post that he was “relieved for cause based on a lack of trust and confidence.”
It’s reasonable to assume that his leadership has a lack of trust and confidence in his willingness to comply. Can’t have people in the military who think for themselves and speak up when something isn’t right. They prefer compliant and obedient yes-men who will never question their leadership, regardless of morality and integrity.
How dare he speak up and voice concerns when leadership is doing something that is obviously wrong. The nerve of this Marine. Doesn’t he know he’s not supposed to have personal morality or integrity? Doesn’t he know he’s supposed to look the other way when leadership makes devastating and irresponsible mistakes? He’s certainly not supposed to publicly propose accountability for those devastating and irresponsible mistakes. This man is obviously not cut out to be a leader in the military. Gotta cut him out of the ranks to make way for the guys who are willing to play the game, who will then rise to the top and become the next Berger, Austin, or Milley.
This is exactly why people in the military don’t speak up. It costs you your entire career. Not everyone is in a position to risk that. Lt. Col. Scheller was willing to risk it.
The American military is being exposed for the corrupt institution that it is. The military leadership is being exposed for the corrupt and incompetent buffoons that they are.
Heaven help us if we are ever attacked by a competent military force that isn’t being led by imbeciles who care more about woke radicalism than military tactics.
