Biden gave a sort of press conference today after suicide bombers killed dozens of Afghans and 13 US service members due directly to his incompetent leadership, his poor withdrawal plan, and the abysmal execution of that poor withdrawal plan.
As usual, it was entirely unimpressive.
But a few specific moments during this presser really stood out as exemplifying his entire presidency thus far.
Firstly, he announced from the podium,
“Ladies and Gentlemen, they gave me a list here. The first person I was instructed to call on was Kelly O’Donnell of NBC.”

Here, let me translate that for you into “reality speak.”
“Ladies and gentlemen, they gave me a list of pre-approved reporters who have promised to stick to pre-approved questions so I can then stick to my teleprompter and notes for the pre-approved answers to the pre-approved questions by the pre-approved reporters, so I don’t risk getting confused by being required to use a modicum of cognitive ability and end up saying something damaging to the narrative.
The first person I was instructed by my handlers to call on, because this is all scripted for me and I’m not the least bit cognitively capable of making my own decisions, is Kelly O’Donnell of NBC.”
Instructed. The President of the United States is so incompetent and cognitively impaired that his staff has to give him a list of reporters and instruct him on which ones to call on because he can’t even be trusted to take questions by himself. In fact, him even sticking around for questions was a shock to everyone, considering he usually turns tail and hobbles out of the room as fast as possible.
Then, during questions, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked Biden whether he accepts responsibility for the complete disaster that has been his withdrawal plan, and everything that has resulted from it.
“I bear responsibility for fundamentally all that’s happened of late… But you know as well as I do that a former president made a deal with the Taliban that he would get all American forces out of Afghanistan by May 1…”
Sidebar. While Trump did have that plan, his plan also included evacuating Afghan allies, civilians, weapons, and equipment before evacuating troops, so that we didn’t end up with tens of thousands of vulnerable citizens and allies stranded, and billions of dollars worth of weapons and equipment abandoned to terrorists. But we can never know how it would have been if Trump had executed his withdrawal plan because we didn’t witness his withdrawal plan. This is Biden’s plan. This is his execution of that plan. This is on him. Not Trump. That’s not to say things wouldn’t have gone wrong with Trump’s plan. We’ll never know. But this is all Biden.
Anyway, this question led to a tense exchange in which Doocy pressed Biden, who then put his head down on his hands, seemingly in exasperation and defeat at being asked hard questions.
DOOCY: “Do you bear any responsibility for the way that things have unfolded in the last two weeks?”

That image has now gone viral as a “defining” image of Biden’s disastrous administration.

Yep, that’s pretty much it. The only thing that might make this picture better is if he was yawning and Kamala was smiling in the background, anticipating her imminent ascension to the thrown.
