CRT Has Educators Acting Like Buttholes

OPINION | This article contains political commentary which reflects the author's opinion.

So, I’ve been getting involved with the local school board, researching and campaigning with candidates, attending meetings and speaking in front of the community, joining groups and gathering information. The more active I am at the local level, the more I’ve been absolutely astonished by the amount of childish behavior being displayed by the people responsible for our children’s future.

Like holy balls y’all. It’s an ugly, middle school cat-fight, complete with name calling and false accusations. I hoped it was simply my area where everyone was acting a fool, but unfortunately I’ve already seen that’s not the case. This is countrywide.

And of course, I know there are good teachers out there. I was a teacher before I separated myself from my school’s distasteful politics, and I have friends who are still teachers. I appreciate and respect the work they put into our kids. Quality teachers are extremely valuable. That said, the good ones are running away from education like their asses are on fire, because the political left is making it miserable for them to stay and impossible for them to do their jobs.

I’m seeing teachers, counselors, resource personnel, and board members who are so enthralled by the beauty of their vision that they’re ignoring the reality of it. Like they read the first chapter of a book and decided to design their lives around it instead of finishing the book. What does this ideology lead to? Utopia ain’t it.

I get it. Critical race theory sounds nice. Not to me personally, but I understand how virtual signalers could see the ultimate course to righting all the wrongs of history by teaching kids the perfect way to view the past and view each other.

Pretty ironic that educators want to teach kids what to think instead of how to think, but I do understand how some do-gooder could convince themselves that this is a good and just path. But, hello, step two. What does it actually do? What is the outcome?

The answer – Nothing good. The evidence – All of history.

Please name a time and place where blaming certain racial groups or genders works out well. Please give an example of when pitting neighbors against each other in the name of justice works well. How do gender and race stereotyping and scapegoating bring us together? How do they have anything to do with education at all?

The amount of divisiveness being pushed in the name of diversity goes contrary to everything the left claims to want. But while they’re lauding  diversity, they’re also shaming, canceling, and shunning anyone with a differing opinion. While arguing what’s best for children, they’re ignoring the parents that know and raise these children. In the name of authority, they’re acting like little twat-waffles, and I have to say, it’s annoying the ever-living hell out of me.

So please get involved with your local school board, even if you homeschool or send your kids to private school, or simply plan to have kids in your community one day. Join the Facebook groups and pay attention to what these self-proclaimed saviors are saying, because sometimes they’re being sneaky with their methods. Then call them out and hold them to task for their words and actions.

How can they be trusted to make sound decisions for the children of their communities when they can’t manage to act like adults themselves? They can’t debate CRT without calling everyone racist, monopolizing the conversation, or interfering with our ability to voice concerns. These adults are regressive, and they’re the last people who need to be making decisions to “better” the community.
