Candace Owens, conservative commentator, founder of the black conservative movement “Blexit,” author of the book Blackout, and brand new mom, has announced a new talk show. The announcement comes following her move to join the Daily Wire team.
The weekly show, “Candace,” will be recorded in front of a live studio audience in the Daily Wire’s new home base town, Nashville, TN. It will include iconic talk show segments including a panel, an interview, and a monologue by Candace herself, and is set to debut on March 19.
Of her new show, Candace Said,
“I guess the best way to describe it would be like a late-night talk show. It’s going to be funny. It’s going to be lighthearted. I think the most important adjective is it’s going to be hopeful.”
When asked whether the show will be aimed at likeminded conservative viewers, Candace said,
“I would say that my audience is any person that doesn’t feel heard or feels misunderstood. That would be my audience. And I think that that’s a lot of people right now.”
This aim is consistent with her foundation of the Blexit movement several years ago, which sought to highlight many of the struggles that black Americans face which are not being heard or addressed by the Democrat politicians who expected the black American vote.
In a culture dominated by liberal voices, the Daily Wire is one of many conservative companies and groups working to inject conservative voices into the mainstream cultural and news narrative. Candace’s new talk show, which follows the release of a feature-length film by the Daily Wire, is surely not the last conservative content we will see in the coming months.
