That was the biggest sh*tshow in the history of sh*tshows, you guys.
And there is blame to go around everywhere and all over the place.
All Trump had to do was let Joe hang himself with the rope that IS his own mouth. Unfortunately, Trump decided his best strategy was to talk all over Biden, which literally saved Biden from hanging himself. WHY?
WHY WHY WHY.
That’s not to say Biden performed well. He…performed. Which was essentially meeting the low low bar that was set for him. All he had to do was not gaffe it up, and he didn’t gaffe it up. Because Trump talked over him the entire time.
Did Trump get some good jabs in? Absolutely. Did Biden get total cover and protection from Wallace? Absolutely. Do I think Trump “won” the sh*tshow? I’d say if I had to score it, I’d vote in favor of Trump 50.5 to Joe Biden’s 49.5.
No one came away from watching that having any clue what Biden stands for, because he either wouldn’t answer questions or he would answer them in a way that made no sense. He both criticized Trump for closing the economy for covid and then had the audacity to say Trump ruined the economy by closing it, and then ALSO said you can’t fix the economy until you fix covid. His plan to fix covid? Mandated masks. That’s it.
He refused to answer the question about court packing and filibusters. He said he doesn’t support the Green New Deal even though his own website says that it’s the framework for his own climate change plan.
Chris Wallace was a HORRIFIC moderator – asking questions that were in no way unbiased – like the whole debunked “fine people on both sides” nonsense, and saying that BLM propaganda is “racial sensitivity training.” BULLSH*T.
Wallace demanded Trump denounce white supremacy (which he has and did), but didn’t demand Biden denounce Antifa or BLM.
I had to laugh at Andrew Yang’s tweet – he said that anyone who watched last night deserves $1000 a month.
Why can’t they just cut mics when it’s time to give 2 min to one of them? WHY IS THIS SO FREAKING HARD? JUST CUT THE FREAKING MICS.
I have serious doubts about whether we’re going to see another debate, y’all.
What were your takeaways?
