Devastating New Poll Shows Most Democrats Want to Drop Biden in Favor of Andrew Cuomo

The New York Post is reporting that a new poll has found that most Democrats would rather have Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) as the Democratic nominee for president than Joe Biden.  This is good news for Donald Trump and spells trouble in enthusiasm for the Democrats.

The national poll found 56 percent of Democrats prefer Cuomo, with 44 percent wanting to stick with presumptive nominee Biden — a 12-point margin well outside the 4.8 percent margin of error for the Democratic sample.

Hispanic voters, young people, women and self-identified liberals are most likely to favor dumping the former vice president for Cuomo.

The poll, conducted April 3-6, was commissioned by the conservative pro-market Club for Growth, which generally supports Republican candidates.

Club for Growth Vice President of Communications Joe Kildea told The Post that the results highlight Biden’s weakness as a candidate.

“With every major news event Democrats realize more and more how bad of a candidate Joe Biden is, and Democrats now preferring Cuomo is just another example,” Kildea said.

Biden entered the race as the Democrats perceived best bet to beat Trump.

How did Democratic primary voters not notice that Joe Biden is an awful candidate?  Did they watch any of the debates?  See any of his campaign events?

It’s doubtful that most people who cast their ballot for Joe Biden paid attention to any of this.

My bet is they voted on name recognition, Biden’s connection to Obama, and their memories of the Biden from days past.

No matter.  Even if the Democrats dump Biden for Cuomo, I still think Trump wins.  There is no way America elects such an extreme, New York liberal like Cuomo.
