The impeachment trial continues to evidence being nothing but a sham the more we pull back the veils.
Democrats were so fixated on removing Trump from office and managed to do nothing but distract the public and Congress during such an imperative time.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration was taking action against China and the virus.
According to Breitbart:
Cotton told Breitbart News Sunday in late February that every conversation he had with President Donald Trump since January had involved coronavirus.
“I can tell you the president is very much on top of the threat that we face from coronavirus,” he said. “In fact, probably every conversation I’ve had with him for the last month has involved, at least in part, coronavirus.”
Cotton had been placing immense pressure on the administration to act on measures to fight the inevitable.
In January, the Arkansas Gazette reported:
While his Senate colleagues were focusing on the president’s removal or acquittal, U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., spent much of this week sounding the alarm about the coronavirus.
As a result, he has missed several stretches of President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial.
The lawmaker from Dardanelle has branded the impeachment a “sham.” The coronavirus, on the other hand, is “the biggest and the most important story in the world,” he told members of the Senate Armed Services Committee during its hearing Thursday morning.
It’s ironic how the Democrat-run House didn’t address the coronavirus until the day Trump was acquitted by the Senate, yet still have the audacity to mock the notion that the impeachment was simply a useless distraction from the bigger issues at hand, and simultaneously suggest that it was Trump who wasn’t acting quickly enough.
Additionally, didn’t the Democrats demand that any Senators who left during the impeachment trial should be brought up on charges?
All the while, Cotton was prioritizing the American people over a joke of an impeachment.
