Despite Climate Change Worries, Bloomberg Insists He Must Fly Private Jet

It’s so fun (and easy) to pick on Michael Bloomberg.

So, I thought I’d take this opportunity presented by his answer at a Fox News Town Hall event to mock him.  It’s especially important to make fun of him while we can, because I suspect his campaign is going to crash and burn after the voting today on Super Tuesday.

Fox News’ Martha MacCallum posed the question.

So, you have obviously been very passionate about climate change.  But several folks out there wanted to know, how you can fly around on private jets, and take your jet to Bermuda to play golf, and still be such a strong proponent of climate change.  Is that hypocrisy?

Bloomberg responded:

Number one, everybody that’s running for president, is running for a job that comes with a private plane. And it’s a big plane and it burns an awful lot of gas.  I think the answer is that I spend an awful lot of time flying around the country, flying around the world working on climate change.  And we have closed an awful lot of coal-fired power plants and worked to try to train coal miners to get other jobs.  At least to get the pollutants from coal out of the air.  And I probably couldn’t do it without an airplane.  And I just, the security you’d have to have, if I go on a commercial jet, the airlines just don’t want to take you.  Because, there’s just too much, too many risks, I’m just too controversial.

So, you see, he is just too important.  Far too many risks for him.

Honestly, prior to this election season, I would not have even noticed him if he was on an airplane I was on.  First of all, he’s really short.  Second, I’m not from New York and really have not paid much attention to Michael Bloomberg.

Isn’t it rich that he flies around on his private jet to make sure coal workers lose their jobs? But don’t worry, they will be retrained.

Hopefully they will get another decent paying job and won’t have to uproot their whole family.

Bloomberg should have just answered honestly.  He takes a private jet because he’s super rich and it’s super convenient.

If I was a billionaire, I’d be jetting here and there too in a private jet.  He doesn’t want to slum it with the common folk.  We get it.

In the end, it’s the typical nanny-state liberal good for thee, not for me routine.
