Attorney Michael Avenatti is a celebrity lawyer and was convicted by a New York federal court for attempting to extort $25 million from Nike.
I guess he can kiss that law degree goodbye… and all his dreams of ever being POTUS.
Much like what Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman said – not all weapons come in the form of a tangible item.
According to The Daily Wire:
Avenatti, who gained notoriety by attacking President Donald Trump, was charged in March 2019 after he threatened to publicly accuse the company of illegally paying amateur athletes unless Nike paid him.
Clearly he would have been better off just utilizing his law degree the right way instead of the… criminal way? That’s a weird sentence. But it makes just as much sense as his criminal act in the first place, so… *shrugs*
This is rich –
