Really? Even after all the Kaepernick nonsense?
Uhm. Keep the drama alive, I guess.
There’s no way they didn’t know they would catch eyes with this one.
The Daily Wire reported:
Despite the fact that rapper Jay-Z has signed a lucrative contract with the NFL, the league that tries diligently to appeal to fans’ patriotism, that didn’t stop him and his wife Beyonce from remaining seated during the singing of the national anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
I’m not saying that people can’t change but it’s interesting how Beyonce was asserting that people stood during the national anthem when she performed it in 2013.
Then, in 2017, she praised Kaepernick for kneeling during the national anthem while presenting him with the Muhammad Ali Legacy Award.
“It feels so good to be here on such a special night of appreciation. Thank you, Colin Kaepernick. Thank you for your selfless heart and your conviction. Thank you for your personal sacrifice. Colin took action with no fear of consequence or repercussion — only hope to change the world for the better, to change perception, to change the way we treated each other, especially people of color. We are still waiting for the world to catch up.”

I just have one simple thought – there IS a less disrespectful way to stand (or kneel/sit, apparently) for what you believe in. Just saying.
