Barr Silences Dems on Fighting for US Presidency, Not President: ‘Rules Were Being Changed to Hurt Trump… President Can’t Be Errand Boy for Congress’

Attorney General Barr has been accused by a number of Democrats of “protecting” President Trump. Even Fox News’ Chris Wallace jumped aboard.

“What really comes across to me most of all is that for two years, Donald Trump sat there and said I don’t have an attorney general, I don’t have somebody out there looking for and protecting my interests. He clearly has that now with Bill Barr,” Wallace said on “America’s Newsroom.”

“Not saying that Barr isn’t right in everything he says, but he clearly is protecting this president and advocating his point of view on a lot of these issues,” he continued.

It’s unclear how condoning a probe into the origins of the Obama-era’s shady Russia investigation is “protecting” Trump, but that remains the narrative.

Barr is finally speaking out and addressing his critics. He says he’s not protecting Trump. Rather, he’s protecting the presidency. Big difference.

“I felt the rules were being changed to hurt Trump, and I thought it was damaging for the presidency over the long haul,” Barr told The Wall Street Journal.

“At every grave juncture the presidency has done what it is supposed to do, which is to provide leadership and direction,” Barr continued. “If you destroy the presidency and make it an errand boy for Congress, we’re going to be a much weaker and more divided nation.”

The intelligence community can’t just decide to form a “contingency plan” in the event that the American people elect someone they don’t approve of. That’s outrageous, that’s what happened, and it SHOULD be investigated.
