Um. You guys. The Whitaker hearing just reached a new level of stupid entirely. Rep. Cedric Richmond decided to ask Whitaker if he’d have a problem with a transgender person working for him. FOR REAL.

Why the heck is that a question? Why the heck do we CARE?

Oh. And then he asked if any of the employees ARE transgender. FOR REAL AGAIN.

Congressman Mr. Richmond:
