Alexandria Oscasio-Cortez just made history by becoming the
dumbest youngest woman elected to Congress. She represents the new Democratic Party: Dumb, naive, not an expert on anything, dumb, bad at math, did I mention dumb?
She’s now a US lawmaker, and her first order of business involves whining that she can’t afford to move to Washington. Yes, really. I’m dead serious. She wants everyone to know that she’s dead broke until she gets her taxpayer-funded salary in January.
She told the New York Times that her transition will be “very unusual, because I can’t really take a salary. I have three months without a salary before I’m a member of Congress.”
Other elected House members draw pay, but she may have been referring to potential ethics problems of soliciting work after being elected as a member of Congress.
‘So, how do I get an apartment?’ she wondered. ‘Those little things are very real.’
Obviously some random rich dude should give her a house in DC, ’cause socialism.
“We’re kind of just dealing with the logistics of it day by day, but I’ve really been just kind of squirreling away and then hoping that gets me to January,” she said.
Surely, there must be someone or someTHING to blame this on, right?
Of course! The electoral system!
There are many little ways in which our electoral system isn’t even designed (nor prepared) for working-class people to lead.
This is one of them (don’t worry btw – we’re working it out!)

I just can’t.
This literally has nothing to do with the electoral system. https://t.co/Fs1s2rRimo

Real talk: Am I supposed to feel bad for her? Because I DON’T. She’s going to get paid up the wazoo to say stupid things on MSNBC and obstruct.
I’m just so annoyed right now. I can’t believe people in that district voted for such a moron, but also…yes I can.
