A group of up to 4,000 people from Honduras have been marching this way. President Trump has tweeted a series of warning shots.
The United States has strongly informed the President of Honduras that if the large Caravan of people heading to the U.S. is not stopped and brought back to Honduras, no more money or aid will be given to Honduras, effective immediately!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 16, 2018
We have today informed the countries of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador that if they allow their citizens, or others, to journey through their borders and up to the United States, with the intention of entering our country illegally, all payments made to them will STOP (END)!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 17, 2018
Anybody entering the United States illegally will be arrested and detained, prior to being sent back to their country!

Hard to believe that with thousands of people from South of the Border, walking unimpeded toward our country in the form of large Caravans, that the Democrats won’t approve legislation that will allow laws for the protection of our country. Great Midterm issue for Republicans!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 17, 2018
Republicans must make the horrendous, weak and outdated immigration laws, and the Border, a part of the Midterms!

So, what’s the latest? I THOUGHT it was positive news. After all, the AP reported that the migrants had turned around.
BREAKING: Migrants in caravan turn back after moving toward border crossing on Mexico-Guatemala frontier.
— The Associated Press (@AP) October 19, 2018
UPDATE: Mexico says they will process 100 asylum applicants per day. Those eligible will be given temporary humanitarian visas. This is intended to dramatically slow the convoy.

However, that’s not the whole story. Word has it the migrants TORE DOWN A GATE at the Mexico-Guatemala border.
Migrants in a caravan traveling through Central America have broken down gates at a border crossing and are streaming toward a bridge to Mexico.
After arriving at the tall, yellow metal fence Friday, some clambered atop it and on U.S.-donated military jeeps.
Young men began violently tugging on the barrier and finally succeeded in tearing it down.
Men, women and children then rushed through toward the bridge, about 150 yards (137 meters) away.
The caravan has arrived at the gate to the Mexico/Guatemala bridge, held off by riot police.
