RBG might be a liberal NUT – but I do have respect for her.
She spoke at my boyfriend’s law school back in the day. He has assured me that she was incredibly kind, sharp, and respectful of everyone. She was also BEST BUDDIES with Antonin Scalia. Anyone who can cross those ideological differences to form a close friendship gets points in my book.
I mean:

See what I’m saying?
That was special… and I TRULY hope the days where relationships like this could even EXIST aren’t long gone. Though they do seem increasingly distant…
Anyway. What I’m getting at is that while I disagree with so much of what she believes… I harbor no ill will towards RBG…
But um… this is awk. I’ve gotta admit it.
While speaking to the National Woman’s Party on 08/26/18, an audience member had to give Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg a copy of the Constitution because she lost hers and couldn’t remember what the 14th Amendment said.

Oh no…
Basically, RBG couldn’t remember what the 14th Amendment said…
Then she couldn’t find her pocket constitution as she fumbled around in her purse for it.
An audience member stepped in with theirs. Which may have helped, but also succeeded in making her look even more helpless.
This might be the issue with life-long appointments. RGB is a smart woman, who really, REALLY needs a nap and a good book. Girlfriend’s getting up there.
According to Daily Wire:
The incident happened on August 26, 2018, when Ginsburg was asked to talk about the Equal Rights Amendment while addressing the audience at the Belmont-Paul Women’s Equality National Monument.
Jill C. Morrison, Executive Director of the Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellowship at Georgetown Law, asked her why the ERA “is still as needed today as it ever was?”
Ginsburg, 85, began fumbling for her purse — which an aide then brought to her — as she then searched for a copy of the Constitution that she supposedly carries with her.
She couldn’t find it.
Then a member of the audience offered up their pocket-sized Constitution for Ginsburg so she could talk about what she claimed was “a problem with the 14th Amendment.”
Sigh.
I don’t want to say anything mean or relish in this or anything. But yeah… this wasn’t necessarily her smoothest moment.
And while I’m TRYING to be nice…
If this were a Republican, the headline on CNN/MSNBC would be “She/He is not suitable for being a Supreme Court Justice, doesn’t know the entire constitution by heart.”
