Oh…um…that’s it? Nothing else to say there, Brian? So “attacking the press” is fine, as long as the reporter is affiliated with a news outlet you don’t like? Is that how this works?

Deep breaths Joe! The quote I tweeted was about Murdoch, not the "press." In the quote, de Blasio was specifically criticizing Murdoch's media empire.

OHHHHH! If that’s the case, can we apply the same logic to Trump’s remarks? He’s not attacking the ENTIRE press. He’s specifically criticizing the members of #FakeNews outlets. Big difference. I’m cool with Stelter’s logic here, but it must be applied across the board. Unfortunately, Brian isn’t willing to do that.

I just don’t understand. If they’re so concerned about big politicians putting journalists in “danger” by “attacking the press,” why aren’t they all over de Blasio? Why aren’t they condemning his remarks?
If anything, they’re proving what we knew all along. They’re full of it. They’re not ACTUALLY fearing for their lives. They’re just obsessed with hating Trump.
