SHOCKER: Mother-Of-The-Freaking-Year Refuses To Hold Herself Accountable

I freaking HATE unaccountable parents.

NEWSFLASH: your sweet little angel might be a GREAT kid who didn’t mean any harm… but that doesn’t mean YOU are off the hook. A kid’s “little accident” is still YOUR responsibility.

Same crap happens everywhere. “Oh, my kids are just being KIDS. You can’t blame me for their atrocious behavior.” Actually… yes I can. Your kid is just being a kid… and you’re being a sh*t parent.

Earlier this month, a mother was hit with a $132,000 fine after her kid knocked over an expensive piece of artwork. The mom was nearby, chatting with friends. The kid walked over to the artwork, hugged it, and knocked it over.

NO, it’s NOT the kid’s fault. IT’S YOURS.

I grew up going to museums. I never knocked anything down. Wanna know why? BECAUSE MY MOTHER DIDN’T LET HER KIDS RUN AROUND UNSUPERVISED. She actually kept track of her kids.

Anyway… this imbecile can’t BELIEVE she’s on the hook for the damage, because her sweet angel didn’t “mean” to break anything.

A mother who refused to take the blame when her five-year-old son accidentally destroyed an expensive piece of art has been slammed by This Morning viewers.

Sarah Goodman was hit with a $132,000 (£100,277) fine when Troy knocked over a sculpture called Aphrodite di Kansas City, which was on display at Overland Park community center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Speaking on ITV’s This Morning, Goodman said that other artworks were kept secure and it was only that sculpture that wasn’t behind glass or rope.

Maybe you should have taken extra care to keep your kid away from that one then, huh?

However, viewers didn’t accept her arguments, and said she should have kept control of her son better.

Surveillance footage showed Troy toddling up towards the statue and wrap his arms around it while his mother Shannon Goodman and other adults chatted on sofas nearby.

Goodman, who appeared on the ITV show over video link, said that her family shouldn’t foot the bill because Troy hadn’t intended to cause damage.

She explained: ‘As his mother and as my husband as his father, I know we’re ultimately responsible for damages that our children cause.

‘If my child intentionally defaced property we would absolutely figure out a way to put ourselves out there to be responsible and pay for the damages to make sure the lesson was reinforced without any question.

‘In this particular situation our five-year-old was just being a little kid and there was no malice or intention to damage any property.’

TRUE. Your kid was just being a kid.

AND YOU WERE BEING A SH*T PARENT.

If a kid walks into a busy street and gets hit by a car because you were too busy chatting with your friends to notice, is it not your fault because “the kid was just being a kid?”
