On Friday, President Trump told reporters that a time and place for the meeting with Kim Jong-un has been set.
“We now have a date and we have a location. We’ll be announcing it soon,” he stated.

Say what you want about Trump, but he’s gotten farther than any other US president in modern history in this particular department. I don’t trust Kim Jong-un has far as I can throw him (which isn’t far because he’s McChubs and I have the strength of SpongeBob), but all signs indicate that he’s at least PRETENDING to be serious. In fact, he’s so serious that North Korea has set its clocks forward by a half hour to match South Korea’s. I had no idea North Korea pushed its time back by a half hour in the first place, but it did so back in 2015 and called it “Pyongyang Time.”
‘Pyongyang Time’ was created as tensions between the authoritarian country and the U.S. grew over Pyongyang’s nuclear weapons program and international sanctions aimed at dismantling it.
I guess it’s like Hammer Time except way creepier.
It’s gone now. The Koreas are officially on the same time zone again.
South and North Korea now share the same time zone as the longtime rivals continue their mission to ‘become one’ following a landmark summit.
North Korea has today reset its clocks, putting them forward 30 minutes to match the time in South Korea after leader Kim Jong-un promised to sync his country’s time zone during his April 27 talks with South Korean President Moon Jae-in.
That promise was fulfilled today by a decree of the nation’s Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly, according to a dispatch from the North’s Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
I’m pleasantly surprised he followed through. All of this almost sounds too good to be true. Baby steps!
