You know the story. President Trump ordered precision strikes on Syria, and the US-led coalition carried them out.
BREAKING: "A short time ago, I ordered the U.S. Armed Forces to launch precision strikes on targets associated with the chemical weapons capabilities of Syrian dictator, Bashar al-Assad," Pres. Trump says https://t.co/sekJohjdYE pic.twitter.com/9srAypCtzn

I’m quite surprised by the divide among Trump supporters. Many conservatives are very upset.
Um, no. How about neighboring Muslim countries handle this? It's not like they're poor. If they want to wipe our Assad & split up the land, fine. If they just want to admit the refugees, fine. If something is done it should be done by them. As awful as it is, it's not our problem https://t.co/TyTFCaIDcR

You might – if you promised no more “stupid wars.” https://t.co/vEoRBe6N1p

There will NEVER be peace in the Middle East. We need to stop trying to save the Middle East because the reality is, the dominant ideology in the region by nature will always encourage terrorism and violence, and we will never be able to stop it.
No more stupid wars. #Syria

Mexico is invading our nation via illegal immigration. California is openly defying federal law with sanctuary cities. Dubious "chemical" attack in Syria justification for World War III. This is insanity defined. #SyriaStrikes

After Trump’s first year we have: 1.3 trillion omnibus, no wall, war in Syria. Is Clinton secretly President?
— Lucian B. Wintrich (@lucianwintrich) April 14, 2018
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Our track record of intervening in Syria and the Middle East is terrible.

All it says is; “Hey jihadist rebels, keep carrying out chemical weapons attacks if you want US air support!” https://t.co/lLyDZXG7gq

Islamist dictator Erdogan approves! This is great news. https://t.co/0EXmek3Z4M

Many @realDonaldTrump supporters just want to understand exactly what happened tonight, and why https://t.co/0I72SpgbgI

I get where these people are coming from. I truly do. I’ve done my best to refrain from presenting a strong opinion on the subject, because I really believe both sides have valid points. However, I’ll admit– and I’m purely speaking for myself here– that I tend to side with the thinking of Gorka. Obama completely diminished our credibility, and the truth is, when the United States doesn’t lead, there is chaos. I don’t necessarily believe we should be the world’s police, BUT it’s true that Obama drew a red line, and it was completely ignored.
Come on people. Do you remember this? To the liberals condemning Trump’s decision, do you not remember Obama’s words? He warned them the world was watching. He said there would be consequences for using chemical weapons. He said they’d be held accountable.
Hey, Brian Williams, since you want Obama so badly maybe you can tell us what he said about Siria / Syria chemical weapons. Here, I’ll refresh your memory
Thank you, @realDonaldTrump for doing what Obama promised

Trump is delivering. Whether you agree with the decision or not, he’s reminding the world that our words MEAN something. You cannot gas innocent children, and it’s DESPICABLE that Russia is sitting by and essentially supporting it.
It’s unacceptable. Obama said it was unacceptable. The only difference here? Trump is offering more than just empty words.
BTW, remember this?
.@JohnKerry: Today the last 8% of declared chemical weapons were removed from #Syria. Great work done by all involved http://t.co/ccPDVkNISz

The entire Obama administration declared 100% of Syria's chemical weapons were destroyed. Repeatedly. pic.twitter.com/ue836rZWdV

Just a REMINDER THAT NONE of this would be happening right now IF Obama, Rice, & Kerry hadn't LIED to the world by saying Syria had been "cleansed" of Chemical weapons! THIS shit's on them! 😡#SyriaStrikes

It’s something to consider.
We don’t all agree on the decision to bomb Syria’s chemical weapons facilities…
However, we can all agree if Obama wasn’t an incompetent leader and a liar, Syria wouldn’t have had their chemical weapons.
I thought he said all the chemical weapons were removed from Syria??
— Jack Murphy (@RealJack) April 14, 2018
That’s kind of where I’m at right now.
