Rapper Usher Solidifies His Has-Been Status With A Bizarre Chin Tattoo

Usher was once famous for the songs that haunt my middle-school dance nightmares.

I’m talking cringey classics such as:

The 2000’s were a horrific time for popular music. Legitimately terrible.

Anyway Usher has most recently been in the news for giving a bunch of chicks the herp. (Or at least getting sued for possibly giving chicks the herp?)

Anyway… he needed to shift the focus, so he did the obvious next thing. He got a tattoo of an eye on his chin.

According to Page Six:

Usher may be able to see well into the future with his newest tattoo.

The R&B superstar, 39 — known for tunes like “Confession” and “Yeah!” — took to Instagram on Sunday to show off his latest ink.

Video footage shows Usher, whose real name is Usher Raymond IV, teaming up with celebrity tattoo artist Doctor Woo to create an elaborate triangle flower-eye design.

Doctor Woo then goes to work on the underside of Usher’s chin, all while Drake’s song “God’s Plan” plays.

Is it God’s Plan for Usher to have an eye on his chin?

Maybe.

Doctor Woo, who’s recently completed work on Brooklyn Beckham, said in his own Instagram, “Meanings. Tough spot but fun one, thank you @Usher.”

While Usher has yet to explain the significance of the tattoo, in previous posts he alluded to entering into a “new era.”

Perhaps he’s seeking a fresh start, as his 2017 was marred by a lawsuit alleging he exposed several people to herpes.

Cool, bro. So deep. Fresh start, yo.
