Politico Doesn’t Understand Why Otto Warmbier’s Father Is Criticizing North Korea’s Phony ‘Olympic Spirit’

I usually love the Olympics. I watched 17-year-old Red Gerard win the gold in men’s snowboard slopestyle last night, and it was AWESOME. (I also watched over an hour of ice dancing. Let’s not talk about that.) But man. MSM is doing everything it can to irritate me. Members of MSM can’t stop praising North Korea. They’re positively mesmerized by North Korea’s creepy cheerleading squad. It doesn’t register with them that it’s nothing more than a propaganda tool. It’s Kim Jong-un’s proof that the North Korean people are happy and joyous. In reality, those 200+ women are probably the ONLY 200+ women who have been able to eat three meals a day in preparation for their debut. And who wants to bet that if they don’t smile enough, their family members will be thrown into political prisons? They HAVE to put on a good show. Their loved ones depend on it. Why are people celebrating that? It’s not amusing. It’s absolutely horrific.

Don’t even get me started with the mainstream media’s infatuation with Kim Yo Jong. The Washington Post and Daily Mail called her a “political princess.” She’s even been called the “Ivanka Trump of North Korea.”

Liberals are fascinated by her. They love that she gave Pence a mean looking side-eye. Some called her their “spirit animal.”

In reality, this woman is the head of the Workers Party’s Propaganda and Agitation Department in North Korea. Propaganda is her thing, and like total idiots, the world is falling for it.

I can’t get over the stupidity around me. I don’t understand why liberals are going out of their way to PRAISE this horrible woman and her horrible country.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, they reach a new low.

Politico doesn’t seem to understand why Otto Warmbier’s father is criticizing North Korea’s phony Olympic spirit.

It all started with remarks he made during an interview with Lester Holt.

“We have to put this in context in the spirit of the Olympics and why we’re here,” Fred Warmbier said. “And so when you put it that way they’re not really participating in the Olympics.”

“Their athletes are not exchanging ideas with other athletes in the Olympic Village or really participating, so that’s a political statement,” he added.

Exactly. They’re using the Olympics as a propaganda tool and nothing more.

Also notice how Politico wouldn’t straight up say that Otto died AT THE HANDS OF NORTH KOREA.

Fred Warmbier is attending the Olympics as a guest of Vice President Mike Pence and member of the U.S. delegation.

Otto Warmbier was visiting North Korea in January 2016 when officials accused him of trying to steal a propaganda poster from his hotel. Then age 21, Warmbier was sentenced to 15 years of hard labor but was released 17 months later after sustaining significant brain damage. Doctors said he was unresponsive after being flown to the U.S. Warmbier died shortly thereafter.

I’m beside myself. MSM cannot stop salivating over North Korea. We’re getting to the point where they DARE question a father who lost his son to the brutal regime. I never thought I’d see the day.
