I’ve always liked Sen. Rand Paul. I truly believe he’s a man driven by principles. He obviously wasn’t my favorite guy during the Republican primary (I actually thought he came off as kinda whiny), but I respect him and agree with him more often than not.
Paul and Trump haven’t always been chummy. Let’s jump back in time.
There are so many iconic Trump facial expressions in that clip.
Come on people. That’s a CLASSIC.
And remember this?
And now, here we are.

OK, OK, OK. Sorry. Feeling nostalgic.
My point is, Paul and Trump weren’t always best pals. So when Paul defends him, it means something. That’s why I love this clip of Paul blasting Democrats for accusing Trump of being a racist.
Regarding the “sh*thole” remark, Paul basically concluded that President Trump’s not wrong. Perhaps he didn’t say it the right way, but his point still stands.
Sh*thole countries. Economically deprived countries. Same difference.
“You can’t have an immigration compromise if everyone is out there calling the president a racist,” Paul said. “They’re actually destroying the setting… in which anything meaningful can happen on immigration.”
“Some people in the media have just gone completely bonkers with ad hominem on the president,” he added.
Allow me to provide you an example of two people who are completely “bonkers.”
I rest my case.
Here’s the entire clip of Paul delivering the smackdown.
He’s absolutely right. Democrats are making this more difficult. The think they can get away with not compromising by saying, “We can’t compromise with a RAAAACIST.” Unfortunately, their followers are so bitter and ignorant, they eat it up with a spoon.
