Ronald Reagan Jr. Thinks President Trump Is A ‘Danger To The Nation’

Democrats are getting so desperate that they’re rolling out Ronald Reagan Jr. again. I think they believe this will negatively affect Trump supporting Ronald Reagan lovers in some way, but we all KNOW that Ronald Reagan Jr. is a super lib who doesn’t share the same vision as his father, so… C+ for trying?

It’s a desperate play. Reagan’s other son, Michael, shares a much closer vision to his father. If you haven’t read his book “The New Reagan Revolution,” you should. It’s really good and gives a lot of insight into the way Reagan operated.

Michael was certainly skeptical of Trump before, but even he admits that results speak for themselves.

“Isn’t it interesting that they only question Republicans’ mental capacity to be president of the United States – did they ever bring up any Democrats’ mental capacity?” Michael Reagan told Newsmax Now. “They talked about [1964 GOP candidate Barry] Goldwater when he was for running for president, they talked about my dad, they talked about Bush. Now they’re talking about Trump, but they never seem to talk about any Democrats who have run this country that their mental capacity is at all something to question.”

Back to Reagan Jr. He spoke with CNN’s Don Lemon Wednesday night and discussed the growing concerns regarding President Trump’s mental fitness. He said Trump’s mental fitness is “up for question,” but he seems to believe it’s more of a personality thing– not necessarily a medical condition.

“I have been saying since he was nominated, perhaps even before, that this is a man who is unfit for office,” Reagan Jr. said. “This is not a psychological diagnosis. I’m not particularly interested in what pathologies he may or may not have. It’s a question of character, it’s a question of personality.”

“His behavior is erratic, it’s impulsive,” he continued. “He doesn’t seem to be really familiar with issues. He attacks people lower than him on the food chain, punching down. He has behaved in a way that I would describe as treasonous regarding the Russia investigation and he may be guilty of criminal activity.”

Oh. He’s treasonous too, huh?

“I would say that his mental status is up for question, but I don’t say that as a psychiatrist,” he added. “I’m not interested in that. I’m a human being. I can watch another human being and say, ‘There’s something wrong.’ And there is something wrong.”

You don’t like his political agenda or personality. That doesn’t mean something is mentally wrong with Trump. It means you don’t like him. There’s a difference.

He also said there’s no sense in Trump comparing himself to Reagan in any way whatsoever.

“Listen, presidents have maladies at time,” Reagan Jr. explained. “…President Trump came to office unfit. He did not develop a malady at some point that rendered him unfit. He is characterologically, if not pathologically unfit, and that is apparent for all to see.”

“We’re not used to talking about presidents this way. It makes us all a little bit uncomfortable. But we have to get used to, I think, the reality of what is happening and face it forthrightly,” he continued. “This is not a normal man, normal president, in this White House now. And it’s a danger to the nation.”
