Governor Cuomo of NY isn’t happy about the GOP tax law, y’all. Why? Well, 1) he’s a liberal idiot, and 2) he’s the Gov of a highly taxed state which is going to see a big impact from the SALT deduction change. Right now, rich folk in NY and CA who itemize their deductions are going to have their state and local income tax deductions capped at 10 grand.
So instead of doing what would make the most sense, which is to freaking LOWER TAXES in New York, Gov. Cuomo is talking tough about the GOP tax law, and is planning on possibly challenging the constitutionality of the GOP tax bill in court.
I’m not even making that up.
Business Insider tweeted about his plan, and Gov. Cuomo responded as follows:
You’re damn right I am. https://t.co/DrwuhREu84

And he was promptly mocked:
FYI, this “assault” is basically an admission that states like NY have crazy high taxes.

Such a New York Democrat thing to do. You can solve the problem by lowering taxes, but the lawyers needs to get paid. So… https://t.co/5OHakLMo2G

Way to go, Cuomo. Way to admit that your state’s taxes are stupid high. In fact, you might want to give this a read too – because folks are sick of your state and are moving out in droves. HELLO.
