Coyote Ugly came out in 2000. I was 10 years old. I watched it… (is that appropriate? Who knows.) and I remember thinking it was the coolest movie of all time.
Apparently, not everyone agrees with 10-year-old Kimber’s taste in movies.

…yikes.
AAAANYWAYYYYY
Love it or hate it, you can’t deny this song as catchy as hell:
You can’t fight the moonlight, guys!
(10-year-old Kimber loved this song, too.)
I don’t know that Leann Rimes has done much since then… So she decided to give bar dancing a try again… nearly 17 years later.
Am I the only one who finds that caption absolutely insufferable?
LeAnn Rimes couldn’t fight the moonlight and just had to succumb to dancing on a tabletop to recreate that iconic Coyote Ugly bar scene during a raucous night out.
The 35-year-old singer shared a picture of herself laughing as she pulled an impressive dance move on top of a bar while her friends cheered her on.
This is what happens when your friends at @kemosabe1990 in Aspen move locations and open up a bad ass private bar upstairs and then turn on Can’t Fight The Moonlight. No one could resist! Coyote Ugly 2.0!”, the star captioned the image on Instagram.
It sounds like the people who ran that bar knew exactly what they were doing.
The original scene from the hit movie featured Piper Perabo, Maria Bello, and Bridget Moynahan wildly dancing on the bar, while their clientele lapped it up.
And the film’s theme song was of course LeAnn’s catchy “Can’t Fight The Moonlight,” and the video saw LeAnn casually singing and busting some moves across a bar.
Since the massive success of Coyote Ugly, LeAnn has also performed songs for other movies including Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde, Evan Almighty, and most recently Logan Lucky.
Never heard of either of those movies… so I see why bar dancing was the obvious next step.
