Crystal Young Won’t Be Getting A ‘Girlfriend Of The Year’ Award Any Time Soon

I like posting stories like this one because I like reminding the men in our lives how good they have it.

My boyfriend may complain that I forget to check my oil before road trips and that I leave the tub all slick from my bath products… but he COULD have a girlfriend who tries to run him over with an SUV (And you know… Shaves her head into a cockatoo-do) so he better COUNT HIS BLESSINGS.

Anyway, this chick probably won’t be getting a little blue box for Christmas this year. (If her boyfriend even makes it to Christmas.)

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after reportedly driving her rental car into her boyfriend while on vacation in Hawaii.

Crystal Young, 30, allegedly struck Emil Dushkin, 36, with a black sedan on the Old Airport Runway in Kailua-Kona last Friday, causing serious injuries.

‘We were like, “Oh my God, she’s going to hit him,”‘ witness Tahiti Cho told CBS News.

She described seeing Young hit him head-on, adding: ‘He wasn’t moving. I hope the guy is OK.’

Young, who is from Anchorage, Alaska, was later seen fleeing into some bushes, where she was found by police.

She was later charged with attempted murder and her bail was set at $281,000.

Dushkin, who is also from Alaska, remains in a critical condition at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu.

Speaking at a hearing on Monday morning, Young’s defense counsel, Andrew Kennedy, told a district court that his client’s mental health may have affected her.

A mental health evaluation has now been ordered for Young.

A review hearing has been scheduled for January.
