Texas GOP Rep. Blake Farenthold is one of the lawmakers who benefitted from the taxpayer-funded sexual harassment “hush fund.” The good news? He’s going to pay back the $84,000 we spent on him.
“I want to be clear that I didn’t do anything wrong, but I also don’t want the taxpayers to be on the hook for this,” Farenthold said. “And I want to be able to talk about it and fix the system without people saying, ‘Blake, you benefited from the system, you don’t have a right to talk about it or fix it.’ ”

Honestly, it’s the LEAST he can do. The thing is though, he wouldn’t be forking over the dough if he wasn’t caught. He’s being shamed into it.
Oh well. At least he’s paying us back. Better than nothing!
