Earlier today, Rep. John Conyers denied knowing the existence of any sexual harassment claims settled by his office. He later changed his tune. As it turns out, he does remember. Imagine that.
How do these people not realize that constantly changing the story makes them look bad? Even if he’s not guilty and really, truly didn’t do anything wrong, he’s making himself look worse. He’s not doing himself any favors.
So, what now? Rep. Nancy Pelosi knows just what to do! This calls for another Ethics Committee investigation!
“As Members of Congress, we each have a responsibility to uphold the integrity of the House of Representatives and to ensure a climate of dignity and respect, with zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, bullying or abuse. As I have said before, any credible allegation of sexual harassment must be investigated by the Ethics Committee,” Pelosi said in a statement. “In addition, we must pass the Me Too Congress Act sponsored by Congresswoman Jackie Speier and enact other reforms to advance equity in all workplaces in America.”
Great idea, right? Let’s get a bunch of unethical, corrupt lawmakers together to INVESTIGATE. I’m sure they’ll do a great job and cover all the bases (if you know what I mean).
What's going to be revealed that wasn't revealed in the investigation conducted before Congress shelled out settlement money?
Why not just publicize *those* facts?

Yeah– get a bunch of unethical people that probably have their own names sealed in the SHUSH FUND to investigate other unethical sexual predators. 3yrs from now it will amount to nothing. #UnsealTheDeals

EXACTLY! If they have a slush fund set up to cover these settlements, what the hell could a House Ethics investigation possibly bring?

Noted: @NancyPelosi who claims to be the leader in the fight for women’s rights, refuses to call for the resignation of a man who sexually assaulted multiple women, because he is a member of her party.
She is a fraud, she stands for nothing! https://t.co/KxqQodXo8C

Ethics investigations in Congress are almost completely meaningless.

They sure are. But that’s apparently the left’s way of addressing the pervs on their side. Another meaningless “investigation.”
