Former Mexican President Has The GALL To Comment On American Gun Control

I grew up in Mexico, where virtually no civilians are legally allowed to own guns.

Let’s talk about how that’s working out for them, shall we?

Newly released figures reveal that one person was murdered every twenty minutes in Mexico in May, the highest monthly murder rate recorded in 20 years.

 

The data released Wednesday documented 2,452 murder investigations in May, almost a third higher than the same time last year and the highest recorded murder rate for any month dating back to 1997, when government tracking began.

 

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto is facing mounting criticism for his government’s inability to address the rising murder rate. According to an International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) survey on armed conflicts released in May 2017, Mexico is now the second-deadliest conflict zone in the world after Syria, with 22,967 homicide victims in 2016.

 

With 11,155 homicide victims recorded in the first five months of this year, the final tally for 2017 is set to be even higher.

This is legitimately heartbreaking to me. I will forever think of Mexico as my first home.

Again…. hardly any law-abiding citizens own guns. Interesting, huh? The left had me CONVINCED that murder only happens BECAUSE of guns!

Anyway…. Vicente Fox, a POS former president of Mexico who wasn’t able to do ANYTHING about the skyrocketing violence in his own country, wants to tell us what to do in ours.

You know what’s funny? While this POS advocates for more gun control in OUR nation, some in Mexico are hoping for MORE GUN RIGHTS TO KEEP PEOPLE SAFE!

A Senator from Mexico’s conservative National Action Party (PAN) is backing a bill that would reform the Constitution to allow firearm possession inside private businesses and vehicles. The proposal also seeks to allow bus drivers, cabbies, truckers and other transportation operators to carry firearms to protect themselves, their merchandise and their passengers.

 

“The Mexican Constitution already allows citizens to possess certain firearms inside their homes, and we simply want to extend that right to other places,” Jorge Luis Preciado, the Senator leading the gun rights reform, told Fusion.

 

Preciado says most Mexicans don’t report crime because they don’t trust the authorities. He says his reform initiative, which he intends to formally introduce in the Senate this week, was born out of the inability of Mexican institutions to uphold the rule of law.

 

“We are in the midst of a very complex situation and we are simply arguing that if the State cannot protect us then it should at least allow us to defend ourselves,” he said.

….Yeah. Do you have anything to say about that, Fox? Or are you only interested in OUR problems?

I’d also like to point out that the people of Mexico have been exceedingly frustrated with this CLOWN, who looks for attention by meddling in OUR affairs, but has done nothing to help the thousands of people impacted by the huge earthquake that decimated entire neighborhoods in Mexico City.
