October 3, 2017Megyn Kelly continues to struggle making friends. She has enemies on both sides now. (For the record, I’m pretty neutral on Megyn Kelly. I don’t hate her, but I don’t love her. She’s just…Megyn Kelly.)
On Tuesday, she had a panel discuss the heartbreaking massacre in Vegas. Toward the end, Tom Brokaw went on an anti-gun rant and railed against the NRA. It was completely insufferable. Audience members were nodding along like mindless drones.
“If you’re not happy with what has happened, your individual obligation as a citizen is to organize on the other side. And that’s possible as well, the NRA has a lot of money, obviously, and if you’re running against the NRA, and a lot of the Western congressional districts for example, you’re portrayed as a traitor to America,” Brokaw said. “You know, you’re not in favor of people having weapons, and that’s after all how the country started — we’re a long way away from that Second Amendment…”
Then things got weird. Megyn Kelly interrupted Brokaw. He kept talking, and she kept talking. They talked over each other for like, 8 seconds. She told him they were up against a hard break, but apparently, it wasn’t coming THAT soon, because she delivered a relatively lengthy line.
“Got it. Gotta leave it at that, Tom. Thank you to our entire panel. We’re up against a hard break, apologies Tom Brokaw. Sorry, they’re wrapping me hard because we got a hard break coming up,” she said. “But listen, this debate will not end now. There are people who defend the Second Amendment who believe you can’t legislate against evil, and those who believe we have to have an honest conversation. Gotta leave it at that. We’ll be right back.”
Did you catch that? “There are people who defend the Second Amendment who believe you can’t legislate against evil, and those who believe we have to have an honest conversation.” I think that was her way of representing the other side. But again…what happened to not being political anymore?

Of course, I completely disagree with Brokaw, but did Kelly slip? She said she was “kind of done with politics for now.” Did she just put herself back in the mix, or are people overreacting?
