Relations with North Korea continue to crumble. Word has it the country is planning to test an ICBM, despite international warnings. North Korea doesn’t care. Will more UN sanctions make a difference? I seriously doubt it. The only thing that will register with Kim Jong-un is force. Well, force or Dennis Rodman. He might be our last hope of getting through to McChubs on a diplomatic level. I’m dead serious. At this point, why the heck not?
Dennis Rodman recently spoke to Piers Morgan on “Good Morning Britain” and explained his completely bizarre relationship with the North Korean dictator. He said they’ve been friends since 2013, but they “barely discuss politics.” Who needs to discuss that crap when you can sing karaoke with the man with the world’s worst haircut?
“It was the fact that he loves basketball and I think that’s the key for anything in the world – basketball and music.,” Rodman told Morgan. “I think that’s a great connection for anyone in the world, it so happens it has to be me. He obviously likes the Chicago Bulls, he asked me to come over and I said yes.”
“For me to go over there and see him as much as I have, I basically hang out with him all the time, we laugh, we sing karaoke, we do a lot of cool things together,” he added.
Yep. They sing together. I’m DYING to know what they sing. Taylor Swift? K-Pop? Queen? Disco? Pics or it didn’t happen.
“We ride horses, we hang out, we go skiing, we hardly ever talk politics and that’s the good thing about that,” Rodman said.
“Every time I see him he’s always calm, he’s always smiling especially when he’s around family,” he continued.
And by “family,” Rodman means “family Kim hasn’t ordered a hit on yet.”
In the end, Rodman says Kim is “just like everybody else.”
“I know he tries to be a dictator and a madman but I’ve never seen anybody in my life have that much power, if it’s good or bad,” Rodman said.
“It’s just fun that me saying something like that makes people say ‘oh my God I’m protecting North Korea,” he continued. “But it’s not like that. I’m just bringing sports to North Korea, I’ve always said I’m not about politics. Not at all. I just go over there for sports. I’ve been there six or seven times.”
That’s great and all, but your BFF continues to treat his own people like garbage, and now he’s threatening to turn the United States into an ash heap. You have to at least consider that.
But listen– that doesn’t matter, because Rodman asked North Korean officials if they hated him, and they said no.
“I ask if they hate me as an American and they say no they don’t,” Rodman said.
So basically, we just have to get Rodman to convince North Korean officials that all Americans are as awesome and fun-loving as he is. Problem solved!
Rodman also offered some advice on how President Trump should handle Kim. He suggests they sit down and “have some type of mutual conversation.”
“Things can happen if Donald Trump, if they sit down, have some type of mutual conversation, they don’t have to be like a friendship conversation, just a mutual conversation: saying hi I would love to engage in some words and politics and over the history of your country and my country and just try to start some dialogue,” Rodman said. “I think that’ll open up maybe the door just a little bit.”
Rodman swears he’s not defending North Korea’s actions. He just has hope. That’s all.
‘I’m not defending the marshal of North Korea. I’m not defending him, I’m not defending the fact that what he does as far as his country and his leadership.
‘I think he has been passed a throne from his grandfather and his father. A lot of people say that the grandfather was worse than the father and the father is worse than the marshal today.
‘I’ve got to hope. I’ve got to hope that the fact that we can actually try to come have some type of happy medium around the world, especially here in America.
‘Like I say, I’m not defending him, I’m not defending the country, I just think the fact that I go over there, I see people and I talk to them, for me to see them gives me a hope for a different view about the country because I see it.’
He concluded: ‘I don’t love him. I just want to try to straighten things out for everyone to get along together, that’s it.’

All I’m saying is, Kim Jong-un is apparently comfortable enough to sing karaoke with Rodman. Maybe Rodman can have a chat with his little buddy. ORRRRR (and I like this plan much better) he could plan an exciting day of singing and ice cream and mini golf and horseback riding, then kill him in his sleep.
The sad thing is, I don’t even know if I’m joking anymore.
