I don’t know what to make of the Steve Bannon business. His recent remarks are tripping me up big time.
“The Trump presidency that we fought for, and won, is over,” Bannon told the Weekly Standard. “We still have a huge movement, and we will make something of this Trump presidency. But that presidency is over. It’ll be something else. And there’ll be all kinds of fights, and there’ll be good days and bad days, but that presidency is over.”
What does that even MEAN? Gosh, it makes me believe Scaramucci even more. Bannon really was you-know-what-ing. Right? I don’t know. There are so many mixed signals.
I fully expected President Trump to lash out. He surprised me.
Steve Bannon will be a tough and smart new voice at @BreitbartNews…maybe even better than ever before. Fake News needs the competition!

Maybe this entire thing really was mutual. Maybe Trump wants to stay on Bannon’s good side, given his media influence. I could see that being true, but it’s still not quite adding up for me. Bannon didn’t exactly get along with everyone in the White House, so no matter what, I’m expecting some drama.
This may be the start of it.
According to reports, Bannon is considering starting a TV network even farther right than Fox News. He believes Fox is heading in what he considers a “squishy, globalist direction.”
Unshaven and working from home in cargo shorts as he moves into “Bannon the Barbarian” mode, Steve Bannon is thinking bigger than Breitbart.
Axios’ Jonathan Swan hears Bannon has told friends he sees a massive opening to the right of Fox News, raising the possibility that he’s going to start a network.
This network would also serve as a new way for him to hit back against “West Wing Democrats,” including Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.
This sounds like it’s still the developmental stages. It’s unclear if this would be a mainstream channel or online streaming network only.
Bannon’s friends are speculating about whether it will be a standalone TV network, or online streaming only.
Before his death in May, Roger Ailes had sent word to Bannon that he wanted to start a channel together. Bannon loved the idea: He believes Fox is heading in a squishy, globalist direction as the Murdoch sons assume more power.
Now he has the means, motive and opportunity: His chief financial backer, Long Island hedge fund billionaire Bob Mercer, is ready to invest big in what’s coming next, including a huge overseas expansion of Breitbart News.
This could be coming. Stay tuned. You haven’t heard the last from Bannon.
