Meghan McCain is not one of my favorite people. To say the least. Nor is she a much of a favorite here in COTR-land. But in all the running back and forth in post-election coverage, I was oddly curious about what she was saying about Trump’s unprecedented win. It wasn’t that I just HAD to check out her commentary – it was more of “Oh yeah, Meghan McCain’s A Thing. I wonder what she’s up to today.”
Election season is weird, y’all.
So, I checked out Meghan’s Twitter feed. I thought she’d be melting down and freaking out that Trump was president. If I remember correctly, she wanted to write-in Lindsey Graham.
But nope. She’s actually being pretty reasonable. Which is refreshing in the wilderness of toxic spew that is the current state of the world –
Let’s give Trump the chance to lead. I have always been a skeptic of his but it’s time for the country to move forward and give him a chance

If you didn’t vote, or voted for Jill Stein, you have absolutely no business flipping out about Trump. Trump won in a fair democracy.

I don’t say this very often but, props to you Meghan! Way to set a civil and tolerant and – dare I say – an example of kindness. And no, I’m NOT being sarcastic.
Also, this cracked me up –
I stood on stage THE NIGHT my father lost believing America had elected a radical and didn’t cry. This is absolutely ridiculous. pic.twitter.com/OPkwkpoUEZ

Okay, when your crybaby antics have lost the sympathy of Meghan McCain, you have achieved BEYOND Peak Stupidity. Nobody is buying your ugly-cry-face anymore. It is past time to put on your big-girl pants and get on with your life!
It’s what the rest of us did in 2008 and 2012, people. You will be FINE.
