Next year when we have a bunch of high school kids getting ready to go off to college, don’t get them furniture or cases of macaroni and cheese. Just load them up with baby bottles and diapers. ‘Cause clearly that’s all they can handle.
According to this, students at Framingham University in Massachusetts had to go to counseling because they saw a Confederate flag sticker on another student’s laptop. Rather than ignoring the sticker and just letting that other student decorate their laptop the way they want, the group of offending students had an UNHOLY FREAK OUT and ran to the chief diversity officer to save them from the bigotry. Or whatever. From the article –
University students in Massachusetts who were upset by an image of a Confederate flag sticker on another student’s laptop were offered counseling services at Framingham State University.
The offer came after the university’s “chief diversity and inclusion officer,” Sean Huddleston, described the display of the small Confederate flag sticker as a “bias incident.”
According to Metrowest Daily News, students filed two “bias reports” within the past month as a result of a student displaying the flag in some way. The most recent bias incident – reported on November 19 – was a report of a student having seen a Confederate flag sticker on another student’s laptop.
In an email to students, Huddleston did not declare a ban on displaying the flag, but claimed that it upsets some students.
Does this mean that I can run crying to some diversity official when I see a Bernie Sanders sticker and it offends me?
The dumbest thing is that this chief diversity officer GLADLY gave these spoiled brats what they wanted. Rather than tell them to grow up and stop treating college like some glorified day care center, he’s all “We’ll save you from the mean, mean, mean people who have different beliefs and opinions than you. And have a baby bottle to go with it.”
Geez, my two-year-old nephew has more maturity than that.
