Rick Harrison Of ‘Pawn Stars’ Has Some Things To Say About Liberalism

I love the History Channel. More specifically, I love the show “Pawn Stars.” I’m always amazed by how much Rick Harrison knows off the top of his head. He seems like a true renaissance man. He literally knows a little bit about EVERYTHING, and after reading his exclusive interview with the Daily Caller, I can see why I find him so sensible.

He’s totally NOT a liberal.

In fact, he’s a big supporter of Marco Rubio, and he doesn’t care what anyone says about it.

“If you’re a celebrity and you endorse a Republican, it’s sort of like career suicide,” Harrison said. “But I’m at a point in my life where I don’t care.”

He said Rubio’s a guy he “believe[s] genuinely cares.”

“I mean, I can read people,” Harrison said.

When asked about Rubio’s lack of “executive experience,” Harrison knocked it out of the park.

“I know guys who ran pawn shops for 50 years,” Harrison said. “I wouldn’t pay them 50 cents an hour to work here. Experience isn’t everything.”

True. That.

He attributes America’s economic struggles to the unfriendly business environment liberals love oh-so much.

“There’s a reason why when Reagan became president, he started getting rid of regulations and we had a booming economy,” Harrison said.

“The problem we have in this country — it’s a nightmare to do business anymore…Make it easy to do business, it will bring people out of poverty, plain and simple,” he added.

He also had this to say about the Democratic field:

“You have Hillary, who, quite frankly, I can’t believe has not been indicted yet over the email thing….You have Bernie Sanders, who just wants to create a socialist paradise like Venezuela…It sounds great. It really does. Everything for free. But it don’t work.”

Interestingly enough, Harrison said others have urged him to run in place of Harry Reid– which I think would be positively awesome– but he said he can’t because he couldn’t deal with all the bizarre politicians and would end up “call[ing] them all f***tards.”

“I mean there’s no way I could put up with that,” he said. “It would drive me insane.”

“Some politicians are in so long they completely lose touch with reality,” Harrison said of Reid.

Now, I don’t know if everyone here in COTR-land has watched “Pawn Stars,” but many people say it’s a “conservative” show. You know– family friendly, lots of history, and heck– free market values galore.

Here’s how Harrison responded:

“This is normal life for people,” he said of his show. “OK? What’s normal life for the majority people of America, the liberal press thinks is like ‘oh my gosh.’ We don’t live in that little weird bizarre vacuum of San Francisco.”

Maybe it’s just me, but I always get a little excited when someone I follow (on TV at least) shamelessly comes out in support of conservative values. Not everyone has lost it yet. Thank God.
