When Trump becomes fixated with someone, he becomes, well, obsessed. And now he’s turned his obsession to Marco Rubio, where he’s now sent him a “care package.”
And that care package is mocking Rubio’s 2013 State of the Union address where he (GASP!) drank water. And his apparent sweatiness. Or something.
Alrighty then.
According to The Hill:
Trump’s campaign sent Rubio a 24-bottle case of “Trump Ice Natural Spring Water” with the outspoken billionaire’s face on it.
It also mailed the Florida lawmaker two towels and several bumper stickers boasting Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan.
“Since you’re always sweating, we thought you could use some water,” the Trump campaign reportedly wrote in a letter to Rubio’s staff. “Enjoy!”
CNN reported on Monday that Trump’s brand of bottled water comes in 16.9 oz. containers made in Willington, Conn. The real estate mogul is fond of providing them at his multiple properties all over the world, it continued.
“Water for the body and soul,” Trump’s water bottles are reportedly labeled. “This is water the way it was meant to be.”
Monday’s gag is the latest in an increasingly personal public battle between Rubio and the GOP front-runner.
At least it wasn’t this, which is what I would have expected, frankly:
