Ruth Bader Ginsburg Just Had Surgery To Remove Cancer

As I’ve mentioned before, I will never, EVER wish harm upon Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The fact that this even needs to be said is heartbreaking.

While I do not agree with her politics, I respect and value who she is, and what she’s done. Think of it this way: She was best friends with ANTONIN SCALIA. He is my Conservative IDOL. If Scalia respected her integrity and character, who am I to say I don’t?

For a woman of her age to have accomplished what Ruth has accomplished is truly exceptional. Despite my differing political opinions, I will never refute that. She is inspirational in many ways. Again… If SCALIA had the respect and love for her he did… who are you to say Conservatives can’t have respect for her? I do.

I feel that if we ever had a conversation, she’d respect the fact that I’ve stood firm in my own beliefs, and that as a woman, I’ve created my own path.

Who knows.

Anyway, Ruth had surgery to remove cancer from her lung today.

According to this:

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had malignant nodules removed from her lung on Friday.

According to a release from the Supreme Court, Ginsberg is “resting comfortably” at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

Ginsberg underwent a pulmonary lobectomy, where two nodules in the lower lobe of her left lung were removed after being discovered “incidentally’ while she was being treated for rib fractures sustained in a fall last month, according to NBC News.

At 85 years of age, Ginsberg is the eldest member of the high court’s liberal faction.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg underwent a pulmonary lobectomy today at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Two nodules in the lower lobe of her left lung were discovered incidentally during tests performed at George Washington University Hospital to diagnose and treat rib fractures sustained in a fall on November 7. According to the thoracic surgeon, Valerie W. Rusch, MD, FACS, both nodules removed during surgery were found to be malignant on initial pathology evaluation. Post-surgery, there was no evidence of any remaining disease. Scans performed before surgery indicated no evidence of disease elsewhere in the body. Currently, no further treatment is planned. Justice Ginsburg is resting comfortably and is expected to remain in the hospital for a few days. Updates will be provided as they become available.

I wish her all the best in her recovery.

All that being said, I think it’s time for Ruth to step back, recover, and get some rest. She’s 85. Enjoy the rest of your time on Earth by taking care of yourself, Ruth.
