June 12, 2018Just now waking up this morning to catch up on all the summit drama, and saw this gem:

That dude is a freak, y’all. I’m just saying.
But I find it somewhat endearing that he’s filled with so much hope. I want to feel like that too, and while I think the summit was a success for Trump in many ways, I’m not pleased that we’ve conceded ANYTHING. We should absolutely continue military exercises with South Korea, and I don’t like that we’re not gonna do that anymore.
That said, all things considered, I don’t think the summit could have really gone much better than it did. Nothing was going to be solved and settled completely in that meeting, and anyone who thought it would be was kidding themselves. It’s a first step, and provided that we keep our boot on their throats, I think we can allow ourselves to be cautiously optimistic at the moment.
It’s a win for the world that the meeting took place.
