Boycott Backfires! Laura Ingraham’s Viewership Rises 20%

Remember when that little weasel David Hogg encouraged everyone to badger Laura Ingraham’s advertisers and boycott them until they pulled away from Ingraham’s show? All because David Hogg publicly whined about not getting into certain colleges, and she simply STATED THAT FACT? And remember how a bunch of advertisers lost their spines and complied? (Except for the MyPillow guy. He stood firm. Rock on, Mike Lindell.)

Loooooong story short, Ingraham issued an apology even though it wasn’t even warranted. Fox News stuck by her the entire time, and slowly, some advertisers returned with their tail between their legs. *coughAceHardwarecough*

There’s more good news beyond that. Laura Ingraham’s show has experienced a 20% rise in viewership since the advertiser boycotts.

Since Ingraham returned from vacation on April 9, total viewership of her program has averaged about 2.7 million (Monday through Thursday; Friday’s numbers are not available).

Compare that to the ratings from March 26 through March 29, the Monday through Thursday just prior to the boycott: That week, Ingraham’s total viewership averaged 2.23 million. The increase in her ratings since the boycott began is more than 20 percent.

Just look:

Someone should really inform Media Matters.

They’re only going to help Hannity’s ratings.

Keep it up, libs!
