Liberal Media Comes Up With Their Grossest Narrative Yet

The liberal media is pushing one of worst, most misleading narratives about the Florida High School shooting I’ve seen yet.

The NRA trained Nikolas Cruz to be a COLD BLOODED KILLER.

Interesting… since none of the mass shootings that have happened as of late have been perpetrated by an NRA member.

According to that story:

Nikolas Cruz, the deranged shooter who gunned down 17 students and staffers at his former Florida high school, honed his deadly marksmanship through a grant from the National Rifle Association.

In 2016, the gun lobby group’s fund-raising and charitable arm, the National Rifle Association Foundation, paid $10,827 to the gunman’s after school air-rifle team — part of a multimillion-dollar program to encourage youth shooting clubs.

Got it. The NRA helps fund an air-rifle team at the school… and so they trained him to be a murderer. OOOOBVIOUSLY.

Cruz, who offered to plead guilty to avoid the death penalty, was wearing a maroon shirt emblazoned with the logo of the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, which hosted the gun club, when he was arrested Wednesday shortly after the massacre.

The 19-year-old, whose teammates at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School called him “Wolf,” excelled in the small varsity shooting club.

“He was a very good shot,” teammate Aaron Diener, 20, said. “He had an AR-15 he talked about and pistols he had shot. . . . He would tell us, ‘Oh, it was so much fun to shoot that’ It seemed almost therapeutic to him, the way he spoke about it.”

The NRA did not respond to request for comment.

It was that same AR-15, which the gun group calls “America’s most popular rifle,” that Cruz used to slaughter students and staff at a Parkland high school on Wednesday.

Downtrend.com explains why this is complete and utter HORSECRAP:

First off, you may notice that this an air-rifle marksmen team, not a school massacre AR-15 club. The truth of the matter is that this marksmen team was administered by the school’s Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC), not the NRA. Saying that the NRA trained Cruz is false and saying that the civil rights organization trained him to kill is the putrid filth that has replaced journalism these days.

Even the line that the NRA paid over ten grand to the school is bullshit. As reported by The Hill, “the school’s JROTC program received $10,827 in ‘non-cash assistance’ from the NRA Foundation.” Giving non-cash assistance is something entirely different than “paying.”

And they continue… this LUNATIC might have been a cold-blooded killer… but he wasn’t a particularly “good” one.

According to the police Cruz fired 150 rounds at a group of people in a confined space at close range and killed 17, wounding 14 others. That, by no stretch of the imagination and thankfully so, is not excellent marksmanship. Had this psycho known what he was doing, this tragedy could have been much worse.

Just so we are clear on the facts: Nikolas Cruz was not a member of the NRA nor was he trained or financed by them. The NRA does not support mass shootings, murder, or even irresponsible firearms use. They do support training and arming teachers, one of whom could have taken Cruz out the second he started firing and mitigated the carnage, but you won’t see the liberal media reporting on that.

The idea that this monster was “trained by the NRA” is beyond laughable…

And it’s maliciously misleading.

The story ALSO fails to mention that JROTC students saved MULTIPLE lives by leading students in to classrooms, building a kevlar fortification while they prepared to fight the shooter off.

…because of course they did.

This is absolutely sickening.
