Here’s the headline (and I should note it is from a couple years ago – I’m just only now seeing it float around Twitter):
That’s for real. Back in the fall of 2019, Magnus Soderlund, a Swedish scientist who is a professor and researcher at Stockholm School of Economics attended a summit (Gastro Summit) at which he suggested cannibalism as a way to combat climate change.
There was a whole panel discussion about this, y’all. The session itself was called, “Can You Imagine Eating Human Flesh?” Soderlund suggested that traditional taboos against cannibalism could soften if we just TRIED eating each other. Just give it go. Just a nibble.
Soderlund himself said he’d be open to tasting human flesh. But he also recognized that there’s value in eeeeeasing into that; for example, we could start off eating pets and bugs. I mean, obviously we wouldn’t want to bite off more than we could chew.

So it doesn’t really matter that this NYP article is from 2019. We see pushes towards bug eating already by the climate freakazoids who haven’t yet figured out that they’re in a cult.
This is just the logical next step.

Given the obesity crisis, I am thinking that would be a fat ladened meal.
I think this guy’s been going to the wrong meetings. The scientists get together on Tuesday nights; the cannibals meet in the same room on Wednesday. It’s an honest mistake… could happen to anyone.
Well is he volunteering to be the first course for his fellow WEF/Davos Morlocks? If not, he can take his Pinochet Helicopter Ride now.
As Randonimpulse says, only if people like this “scientist” offers himself up as the main course. In addition, all of those people at the World Economic Forum who said we should be eating bugs need to be followed and stalked (and their trash is to be examined) to be sure that their menu consists only of vegetables AND insects – no meat whatsoever!!!
I’ve suggested that all the people who think Climate Change is such a big deal self minimize their carbon footprint by providing the meat for this particular experiment. Even with their worst case estimates that should buy a year or two.
