KJP Storms Out of Press Conference After Being Pressed by Journalist
Well, we all knew Press Sec Karine Jean-Pierre had the reading comprehension skills of a twelve-year-old, but yesterday it came to light exactly why that’s the case:
KJP is, effectively, a twelve-year-old.
At least, that’s the age demographic you expect to storm out of a room when things don’t go their way, which is exactly what happened during a press conference on Thursday:
The temper tantrum was triggered by a question from Simon Ateba of News Africa, who wanted to know why she wasn’t taking any questions about the upcoming U.S.-Africa Summit.
“Karine, why is it so hard to take a question on the U.S.-Africa Summit, when the President is meeting 50 African leaders — the biggest gathering of leaders of his administration? Why is it hard for you to give me a question?”
Jean-Pierre tried to say it wasn’t hard, and Ateba pushed back that it had been months since she’d taken a question from him. Then she got salty and tried to move on; when Ateba continued pushing, KJP took her ball enormous binder of information she’s never read and went home ended the press conference.
Good grief.
There were about 782 ways to handle that situation, and 778 of them were better than the one she went with. I mean, at least if she’d kicked him in the nuts we’d think she was kind of badass, but storming out of a press conference WITH OTHER JOURNALISTS PRESENT is just embarrassingly childish.
Huh, that’s a pretty good summation of this entire administration. Maybe that should be their 2024 slogan: Joe Biden, embarrassingly childish. At least he’d be telling the truth (for once).

Lord knows I’m not defending KJP by any means, but I am a retired reporter who attended countless news conferences over my 45 years in that business. From watching that video, I think she was justified in leaving the room. That obnoxious foreign “journalist” wouldn’t shut up. Every time she tried to respond he kept badgering her until she just gave up. If I were in her shoes, I would’ve left too.
If Jean-Pierre can’t handle the pressure of her job, she should be an adult and step down. Gee, I miss Kayleigh McEnany and Governor-elect Sarah Huckabee Sanders!
Didn’t KJP just do this a few weeks ago. I thought she did. She’s definitely completely horrible at her job.
She’s a perfect example of the Biden Administration’s identity politics – hire the person who checks off the most woke boxes regardless of their ability to do their job. I’m assuming the journalist asking the question is black. Can you imagine a white WH Press Secretary behaving this way towards a black reporter? Holy Mary, Mother of God, would that be a major scandal! I don’t even understand why it is so difficult for her to take his question and give him an answer. It seems like a summit that is right up the Democrats’ alley, a way to kiss up to black voters without producing any viable results.
She’s a black, lesbian immigrant and that’s all we need to know! Screw any political transparency on the part of his Administration.
