As Crime Surges, Mayor Adams Says “NYC Has A Brand” And “Means Something,” Mocks Kansas

Watch Mayor Adams chuckle (in a weird, creepy way) as he mocks Kansas for not having a “brand” the way that New York does.
"New York has a brand, and when people see it, it means something," says Democrat NYC Mayor Eric Adams.

Does New York have a “brand?” Does it “mean something?” Yes. It absolutely does. These days, it represents squalor, danger, and criminal mismanagement. While it used to be called The Empire State, a better nickname these days is The Criminal Empire State. According to NYPD stats reported by AMNY,
“Crime in New York City increased by 30.5%, with 11,619 crimes in July 2022 compared to 8,906 in July 2021. Almost every category of crime increased last month, with the exception of rape, which decreased from 149 last year to 142 in July 2022 — a 4.7% decrease. The NYPD acknowledges that rape continues to be underreported.”
Oh, and hate crime was up 50% over last year, a significant portion of which was directed at Asians. Police Commissioner Keechant L. Sewell torched the “progressive” leftist policies that have contributed to this staggering crime increase, including “revolving-door recidivism,” the lack of “real consequences” for crime, and the prioritizing of criminals over victims. He said,
“We know that any crime increase in our city is wholly unacceptable. Everyone who lives, works, and visits here deserves to be safe, and the members of the NYPD will tolerate nothing less – but we cannot do it alone. When violent criminals are willing to carry illegal guns on our streets and brazenly shoot at innocent people, they must face real consequences. And when rampant, revolving-door recidivism erodes the public’s trust in the criminal justice system, we must make efforts to refocus that system on what matters most: the victims. All of us need to be pulling in the same direction, so that we can best deliver on the public-safety promise we make to every New Yorker, every day.”
And yet, despite the horrifying disaster that is New York City, Mayor Adams is cocky enough to stand up at a podium and laughingly mock Kansas for not having a “brand” the way that New York City does. Well, people in Kansas are rarely concerned about being sucker punched, stabbed, shot, robbed, beaten, car jacked, or murdered in the streets or businesses on an average Tuesday afternoon like New Yorkers are these days.
Just a few weeks ago I wrote about how The Big Apple is now just a filthy, dangerous hellhole no one should visit. And there are new videos out almost daily of the horrifying things that happen in New York City. Here are just a few more recent ones, in case you wondered what the NYC “brand” is.
