AOC Hilariously Wants To Strip SCOTUS Of “Jurisdiction Over Abortion.” That’s Literally What SCOTUS Ruled.
It’s actually incredible that an elected official can be this ignorant and oblivious.
AOC just took to Twitter and announced that she has “called on Senator Schumer and Speaker Pelosi to support stripping the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction over abortion” in response to the Supreme Court’s recent Dobbs decision. Here’s the tweet.
The reason this is so hilarious is because the Dobbs decision literally ruled that the Supreme Court does not have jurisdiction over abortion. That was the whole point. That was the whole decision. They stripped themselves of jurisdiction over abortion because they decided that they do not have jurisdiction over abortion. The decision returned jurisdiction over abortion to the individual states rather than keeping jurisdiction at the federal level and making a decision for the entire country.
So does AOC honestly not understand how the Supreme Court works or does she just not understand what their decision meant? Or, perhaps, is she intentionally misleading the low information voters who got her elected by misrepresenting the Supreme Court’s role and this specific decision?

I can’t believe this woman actually graduated from college. She should demand her money back from Boston University for failing her so badly especially for her economics degree. I’d love to know more about Brand New Congress, the PAC that propped her up as a token Hispanic candidate. I’d say they sought good looking minority candidates to run but then they also helped Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib to get elected. Apparently people who worked on Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign in 2016 formed Brand New Congress. They make campaign staffing and fundraising decisions for all of their candidates. Other than AOC and Rashida Tlaib, they helped Reps. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL), Cori Bush (D-MO), and Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) get elected. I guess understanding basic civics isn’t a part of the qualifications for Brand New Congress to run candidates.
She is truly that ignorant. Young people today have no idea what the Constitution says. There is no right to abortion in the Constitution. There was also no right to vote for women until that right was created by the 19th amendment. Since there is no right to abortion the 10th amendment applies, and the issue was returned to the states where it belongs. To get a Constitutional right to aborting requires an amendment and the chance of that being ratified is slim to none. That is why liberal progressives used liberal activists to gain the Roe v Wade decision. The current court simply corrected the error made in 1973.

There also was nothing preventing it, both just like males.

15th Amendment (section 1)- The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
Notice sex isn’t mentioned.
19th Amendment- The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.
That is the only time sex is mentioned in the Constitution or the Amendments.
So since gender =/= sex does that mean we can discriminate against women or men or non binaries all we want?
One one hand- sure, but Gorsuch and Roberts will smack you down by conflating sex and gender. On the other hand- since “gender” separate from sex is only an imagining of the nutballs, then it’s, “no”. On the third hand- metal “defectives” can be denied the right to vote (with a judge), so it’s, “yes”.

The thing I can’t decide is whether she truly doesn’t understand these things or whether she’s being intentionally manipulative by playing into the public misconceptions surrounding the SCOTUS abortion decisions, you know? Am I underestimating her by assuming she’s just ignorant?
She lives in her own little world and sadly I’m fairly certain she’s not deliberately misleading because she regularly shows she has no clue.

Actually, her, Biden, Harris, Pelosi and others are in leadership positions exactly because they are so incompetent. If you want to take down a country by destroy their economy how better to do it, then put in power the most brain-dead incompetent people you can find. It is all by design and functioning as to the plan.
