‘First Amendment And Boobs’ Dude Clay Travis Floats A Senate Run

Clay Travis, the Fox Sports dude who offended CNN by expressing his love of the First Amendment and boobs…

…is floating a Senate run.

During his radio show “Outkick the Coverage,” Travis said he’d consider running as an Independent in Tennessee. That is, if incumbent Sen. Corker decides not to run.

“I think I could get elected,” Travis said. “There has to be no incumbent and Peyton Manning has to not run. Other than that I think I could beat anyone in the state,” he added.

One reason for that? Name recognition.

“If you went and walked around with me at a [University of Tennessee football] tailgate, let’s say next week when they’re playing Georgia next weekend, if I went around with a camera crew … we’d have 100 percent name recognition of people under the age of 50,” Travis said. “It’s positive name recognition … if you walked around with a camera, we’d make the Democrats and Republicans both incredibly nervous. They’d kill to have the recognition in the state. I think I could win as an independent.”

The Daily Wire double checked with Travis, and he provided them with a pretty definitive statement:

“I’m 100% running for Senate if Bob Corker doesn’t run for reelection and Peyton Manning doesn’t run.”

Yep. This could actually happen, and if it did, it would be incredibly entertaining. We’d get more of this. All the time.
